Motivated by this family bond and a desire to create lasting change, Max established Ethiopia Down Under to raise funds in Australia for impactful projects in Ethiopia - including the construction of schools, orphanages, and community facilities.

Max has cultivated strong networks and partnerships in Ethiopia, laying a solid foundation for meaningful expansion and future development projects. Max’s dedication to charitable work extends well beyond this organisation.

He has volunteered internationally, including hands-on house-building projects in both Cambodia and Ethiopia, and has been involved in fundraising and community support initiatives for many years. His academic background - a degree in Business and Arts - and his professional experience working within his family’s NDIS-focused business have equipped him with a strong understanding of social impact, organisational leadership, and community care.

Archie Godby

Archie’s commitment to the Foundation is deeply personal. His travels to Ethiopia in 2025 exposed him firsthand to the realities faced by vulnerable communities shaping his dedication to the cause. It was this journey that strengthened Archie’s resolve to contribute to meaningful, long-term change.

Archie is currently studying a Bachelor’s degree in Arts/Laws, a pathway that aligns closely with his desire to advocate for justice and ethical leadership. Through his work with the Foundation, he hopes to play a role in creating lasting, positive change for those most in need.

Archie also has a genuine passion for social justice, which is reflected in his ongoing service to others. He has previously volunteered with St Vincent de Paul Night Patrol, participated in religious retreats, given his time teaching rugby to children with disabilities, and is actively involved in his church community. Through these experiences, he has come to understand not just the value of opportunity but also the love that can be shown in a gesture as simple as lending a hand.
